Documentary. 70 min. Directed by Breno Moreira. 2021. Brazil
The documentary records the lives of people in the popular occupation of Jambalaia - a set of unfinished buildings in Rio de Janeiro that leaves 400 families homeless after being demolished by the city hall - the story is told from the point of view of those who sleep and wake up as part of this occupation, and also records the fateful day marked for the implosion of the buildings and the outcome for its residents, who lost their homes and were forced to survive, distant from each other, away from the only house they ever knew.
