Brazilian scientists traveled to the frozen continent of Antarctica searching for our ancestors. Their cameras told these 70 days of work, despite the cold and tightness of living space where each one could film each other.

Simone Mesquita

Brazil. Archaeologist, with PhD in Visual Studies (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). She has offered consulting services for a 13-installment TV series, "Bom Dia Arqueologia" ("Good morning, Archaeology"), which features an unprecedented subject in Brazilian television. She has graduated in the “Masters of Documentary Filmmaking” on the International School of Cinema and TV of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV) in 2017, Cuba, and also participated on three courses offered by this School - “Introduction to Screenplay”, "Introduction to Filmmaking" and “Documentary Filmmaking”. She is also founder and partner at Doc & Rio Festivals.

Reinel "Rei" García

Graduated in Media Communication from Instituto Superior de Arte, Film Production from International School of Cinema and TV (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños, and the School of Cinema Darcy Ribeiro (ECDR) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also attended the EURODOC Training Program (2016), São Paulo-Locarno Industry Academy (2017), and Locarno U30 (2019). He has a published book, How to be a bridge, a manual for film production. He teaches at the International School of Cinema and TV (EICTV) of San Antonio de los Baños, and the Hospital of Projects of the International Film Festival Lanterna Mágica. He was General Coordinator of Nuevas Miradas Lab EICTV (2016) and Coordinator of the EICTV Production Chair (2017).  Jury at Brasil CineMundi (2020).
